HLB Hungary receives sustainability audit certification

HLB Hungary has reached another important professional milestone in its commitment to sustainability, transparency and business trust by obtaining its sustainability audit certification from the Hungarian Ministry for National Economy. This certification confirms that our company complies with the legal requirements for the independent audit of sustainability reports and is authorised to conduct statutory audits in this field, as four of our lead auditors have obtained their qualification as certified sustainability auditor. Granted under Act LXXV of 2007, the certification affirms that our audit team possesses the necessary expertise and experience to conduct audit of corporate sustainability reports. Today, such reports are no longer just best practice – they are a regulatory obligation for many businesses.

Sustainability reports aim to transparently and credibly present a company’s impact on environmental, social and governance (ESG) aspects. With this certification, we are in a position to support our clients in this responsible process with professional diligence –ensuring compliance and reliability through the audit of such reports.

HLB Hungary’s services in this area include the preparation, audit and related advisory for sustainability reports.

“This certification is not only a professional recognition for us, but also a new opportunity to contribute to a more sustainable economy and corporate operation. Our goal is to provide our partners with a solid foundation for meeting sustainability expectations whether it involves regulatory compliance or progress toward ESG frameworks” – said Gyöngyi Ferencz, Managing Partner of HLB Hungary, in connection with the certification and the expansion of the firm’s service portfolio.
